Fantasy Football: Week 2 starts and sits

Coming off a dominant Week 1 victory over the Arizona Cardinals, the Redskins host the Indianapolis Colts as they try to start 2-0 for the first time since 2011.
The Redskins have not won their home opener in four years, with their last opening victory coming on Sept. 14, 2014, when they defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars, 41-10. Quarterback Alex Smith did not dissapoint in his first start as the Redskins quarterback. The 34-year-old threw for 255 yards and two touchdowns, with no interceptions. Smith was backed by a stellar performance from running backs Adrian Peterson and Chris Thompson. Peterson carried the ball 26 times for 96 yards and a touchdown, which was the 100th of his career. He also totaled 70 receiving yards in the victory, which led the team.  Thompson was both effective in the rushing and passing game. On 13 total touches, Thompson accrued 128 total yards and a touchdown, the Redskins’ first of the game. The Colts fell in their opener, 34-23, to the Cincinnatti Bengals. It was quarterback Andrew Luck’s first game in over 600 days, as he missed all of the 2017 season with a shoulder injury.  Sunday marks the 31st time the Redskins and Colts will face off. Indianapolis defeated the Redskins 49-27 in their last matchup on Nov. 30, 2014.  The Colts lead the all time series, 20-10.
