Ten more names have been added to the list of presenters at this year’s Academy Awards. They are led by stars of two of the biggest movies of the year: Gal Gadot, who took on the title role in “Wonder Woman” and Mark Hamill, who headlined “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” the latest installment in the franchise that launched his career more than four decades ago. Two of Hamill’s co-stars, Oscar Isaac and Kelly Marie Tran, are also slated to take to the stage of the Dolby Theater on March 4.
Among those also scheduled to present are Armie Hammer, who co-stars in the Best Picture nominee “Call Me By Your Name” and Tony and Grammy winner Lin-Manuel Miranda (“Hamilton”) who is featured in the upcoming “Mary Poppins Returns.” Also on the list are Gina Rodriguez, Wes Studi and Zendaya.
Perhaps most intriguing is the inclusion of 1954 Best Supporting Actress winner Eva Marie Saint. Heavily pregnant, she delivered one of the most memorable Oscar acceptance speeches when picking up her trophy for “On the Waterfront” by declaring that she might have the baby right there. Could she be introducing an assemblage of past winners to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Academy Awards, as was done for the 70th and 75th?
